Cimcorp is set to open a new office in Chennai in June 2019. This move is a part of the company’s strategy to directly interact with customers in the region and provide a faster service.

The decision to open a new office has been additionally bolstered by the appointment of Pekka Natri as Head of Operations in India.

The supplier’s motive of stepping into India was a “logical step,” according to Masatoshi Wakabayashi, CEO of Cimcorp. The new office will act as a customer support center with a holistic service operations in partnership with Cimcorp’s parent company, Murata Machinery Ltd.

Cimcorp specializes automating the tire industrial landscape and wants to position itself as the leader in supplying and managing the flow of materials required in order to achieve automation manufacturing of tires. Thus, Natri’s role requires him to take charge of the international business. He brings with him an extensive knowledge about the Indian markets, having worked in the country during the 1990s while his second stint was between 2007 and 2011.

Natri believes that the “competence and professionalism” of the Indian talent would enable the company to hone in on their core business in a more strategic manner.

According to Waybayashi’s statement, added that the move would enable their employees to generate a global impact and achieve personal growth as well.
